The email accounts page connects Vertiqa to the mailboxes you actually send from. Without a connected account, the email composer can't send and inbound replies won't thread correctly.
What you can do here
- Connect an account — Gmail, Outlook, or generic IMAP/SMTP.
- Set the default sending account if you have more than one.
- Configure sync — direction (read-only / two-way), sync window, thread settings.
- IMAP/SMTP — for non-OAuth providers, configure server, port, and credentials.
- Disconnect an account. Historical email stays on records; you just stop sending and syncing through it.
Tips
- Use OAuth (Gmail / Outlook) when possible. Tokens refresh automatically; SMTP passwords don't.
- A two-way sync brings your replies into Vertiqa automatically. If you see missing replies on a record, this is the first place to look.
- Don't share an email account between multiple Vertiqa users. Each user should connect their own.
