Pin records to your sidebar
Keep the accounts, contacts, deals, projects, and tasks you work every day one click away, and get back to records you just viewed.

Pin the records you open all the time — a key account, a big deal, the project you're running this quarter — and they stay in your sidebar under Pinned, one click away from any page.
Pin a record
- Open the record. Pinning works on accounts, contacts, opportunities, projects, and tasks.
- Click the pin icon in the record's header (its tooltip reads Pin to sidebar).
- The record appears under Pinned in your sidebar.
Click the icon again (Unpin from sidebar) to remove it.
Where pinned records show up
- Sidebar — the Pinned group, on every page.
- All tools (⌘K / Ctrl+K) — a Pinned records section at the top.
- Search — a Pinned section when the search box is empty.
- Simple mode — pinned records sit in the side rail.
Pins belong to you, not your team, and they follow your account — pin on your laptop and they're there on your phone too.
Recently viewed
You don't have to pin everything. All tools and Search also show Recently viewed: the last few records you opened in this browser. Recently viewed is kept on this device only.
Limits and housekeeping
- You can pin up to 15 records. At the limit the pin icon is disabled ("15 records pinned — unpin one to add another"), so unpin something you're done with first.
- If a pinned record is deleted or you lose access to it, the pin shows No longer available — click it to unpin.
Tips
- Pin the handful of records you'd otherwise search for every morning. For everything else, Recently viewed usually has it.
- Pinning a record doesn't change it or notify anyone; it only changes your sidebar.
