Global search is the cross-module finder. One search box, six entity types, results ranked across all of them.
What you can search
- Accounts
- Contacts
- Opportunities
- Projects
- Tasks
- Documents
Each result type has its own colored icon so you can see at a glance what you're looking at.
What you can do here
- Type to search — results update with a 300ms debounce, so typing is smooth.
- Filter by type with the tabs to scope to one entity.
- Open a result to land on its record.
- Use recent searches — your last six searches are saved locally and shown when the box is empty. Clear them with the clear control.
- Press
/anywhere in the app to jump straight to the search box. - Dictate the query if you'd rather speak it.
Tips
- Think in nouns, not phrases. "Acme HVAC" finds the account; "looking for that hvac account" doesn't.
- If the right result isn't on top, switch to the matching type tab — scoring is more precise within a single type.
- Recent searches are stored on this device only. They don't sync.
