Talk to Vee

Talk to Vee hands-free, dictate into the message box, or have Vee read its replies aloud — and why nothing is ever saved by voice alone.

Reviewed OperatorVertiqa 1.75+

You can talk to Vee instead of typing. It's built for the moment right after a call or a site visit: say what happened while it's fresh, then glance at the plan and tap Confirm.

Three ways to use your voice

What it doesWhere
Talk to VeeA live, hands-free conversation. Vee listens, answers out loud, asks follow-up questions, and builds the plan as you talk. The orb (Halo), the mic (Studio), or the big button (Simple) on Home; the Talk to Vee box in the right-rail panel.
DictationTurns what you say into text in the message box, so you can check it before sending. The microphone inside the message box.
Spoken repliesVee reads its replies aloud. With it on, a finished dictation sends itself — push-to-talk.The speaker button in the message box.

Have a live conversation

  1. Tap Talk to Vee. Allow the microphone if your browser asks.
  2. When you see Listening…, say what happened — "Just left Harbor Logistics. Log the visit, they want the quote by Friday, and remind me Thursday."
  3. Vee answers out loud and the plan builds on screen. Your words stay visible so you can check what it heard. If it misheard a name, just say so — "no, Dana Reyes".
  4. Tap the same button again (or End in the panel) to finish.
  5. Look over the cards and tap Confirm.

Nothing is saved by voice

Every change Vee prepares — spoken or typed — waits for a tap on Confirm. Saying "yes", "do it", or "approved" doesn't save anything. If Vee ever says something was saved before you confirmed, the screen corrects it: "It is not saved until you tap Confirm."

If Vee asks you to "Confirm or discard those first," finish the cards on screen before asking for something new.

Standard or Premium voice

In Full mode you can pick Voice quality before you start:

  • Standard — lower cost; fine for most updates.
  • Premium — best understanding of names and fast speech, at about three times the cost of Standard.

Your choice is remembered on this device and can't be changed in the middle of a conversation. Simple mode always uses Standard.

When voice isn't available

If you don't see Talk to Vee, live voice is off for your workspace right now — typing and dictation still work. Messages you might see:

Tips

  • Say names in full the first time ("Dana Reyes at Harbor") — it saves a "which Dana?" question.
  • Talk in a quiet spot, or use dictation and check the text before sending.
  • For dates, say the month and day ("October 30"); add the year if it's not this year.
