Assistant

The right-rail Assistant answers questions about your business with cited evidence and turns plain requests into reviewed CRM actions.

The Assistant is the chat panel docked on the right edge of the workspace. One composer handles two jobs: ask it about your business ("which calls did I miss this week?") or tell it to do something ("log a call with Acme"). Answers come back with the evidence behind them; actions come back as a preview you approve before anything is written.

Want a hands-on tour? Open the Help button on the Dashboard and launch Getting started with the Assistant — it opens the panel and walks you through asking and acting with real example prompts.

Opening and closing

  • Press ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows) to open or close the panel, or click the Assistant tab on the right rail.
  • Press Esc to collapse it back to the rail.
  • The open/closed state is remembered on this device.

What it can do

  • Answer questions — status questions ("estimates going stale?") and why/what-happened questions, answered from your workspace's records with citations and links to the source records. See Ask the Assistant about your business.
  • Take action — create tasks, log calls, update contacts, move deals, book meetings, and more, all from a plain sentence. Every action is previewed and applied only when you confirm. See Tell the Assistant to do things.

Dictation

The microphone button in the composer transcribes your speech into the input box. Dictation is just a faster way to type — you still see the text, and any action still goes through the same on-screen preview and confirmation before anything is applied.

Where it's available

  • In Full mode, the Assistant is available on every page.
  • In Simple mode, the focused daily pages (Today, Inbox, People, Deals, and similar) keep their streamlined layout and don't show the dock; other pages still do.

If the panel says "The assistant isn't enabled for your workspace yet," the feature hasn't been turned on for your organization — ask your workspace admin.
