Project and portfolio analytics

Read-only dashboards for task health, throughput, workload, and cross-project risk.

PM analytics gives you two read-only dashboards: one for a single project, and one for your whole portfolio. Nothing here changes data — these are views for spotting risk and reporting on delivery.

  • Project analytics lives at /pm/projects/{id}/analytics. Open a project and click Analytics in its top bar.
  • Portfolio analytics lives at /pm/analytics. Reach it from the Analytics button in the Projects page header.

Project analytics

The project dashboard shows:

  • KPI tiles — Total tasks (and how many are open), Completed (with percent complete), Overdue, Throughput · 30d (tasks completed in the last 30 days), Time logged against the estimate, and Active assignees (people with open tasks).
  • Tasks by status and Tasks by priority bar charts.
  • Open tasks by assignee — who's carrying open work right now.

Portfolio analytics

The portfolio dashboard rolls up every project:

  • KPI tiles — Projects, Total tasks, Completed (with percent complete), and Overdue (with how many projects are at risk).
  • Completion by project bar chart.
  • Projects by risk — a risk-ordered table. Click a row to drill into that project's analytics.

Tips

  • Start at the portfolio's Projects by risk table, then drill into the riskiest project to see which tasks are overdue or unassigned.
  • Throughput · 30d is the honest signal of how fast a team is actually closing work — watch the trend, not a single day.
  • A high Overdue count with low Active assignees usually means work is stuck on too few people. Reassign before re-dating.

Permissions

Analytics is read-only and visible to anyone who can view the projects it reports on. The figures recompute when you open a dashboard or click Refresh.
