Time off
Submit dated leave requests and work the approval queue — pending, approved, declined, or cancelled.

The time-off page is both the request log and the approval queue — every dated leave commitment lands here and moves through a decision.
What you can do here
- Submit a request — pick the employee, a type (vacation, sick, personal, bereavement, jury duty, parental, unpaid, or other), the start and end dates, and optional requested hours.
- Filter by status with the quick-filter chips, or by the follow-up filter for the approver's work queue — overdue, starts soon, or pending too long.
- Open a request to decide it, edit it, or cancel it.
Statuses
- Pending — submitted, waiting on a decision.
- Approved — granted. The approver can set the decided hours, which may differ from what was requested.
- Declined — not granted.
- Cancelled — withdrawn before or after a decision.
Approving is a permissioned step
Only roles with the approver permission can approve or decline a request — everyone else can view and submit, and may still be able to cancel their own. Each decision prompts for a note, so the reason is captured on the record.
Tips
- Work the pending too long filter regularly. A request that sits unanswered is the same as a no to the person waiting on it.
- Record decided hours when they differ from requested — that's what flows into how you keep balances current.
