Edit formal RFQ content

Adjust line items, quantities, and supplier instructions on a draft RFQ.

Drafted RFQs are fully editable until you mark them sent. Use the edit view to clean up parsed content, add missing context, or restructure the request.

What you can edit

  • Line items — add, remove, or re-order. Each line has a description, unit, quantity, and free-form notes.
  • Header fields — RFQ title, response-by date, and delivery target.
  • Supplier instructions — free-text block placed above the line items in the rendered document.
  • Internal notes — visible to your team but not exported in the PDF.

What you cannot edit

  • The originating inquiry reference. To reassign, create a new RFQ from a different inquiry rather than retargeting an existing one.
  • Sent timestamps and supplier responses.

Auto-save

Edits save as you type. There is no "Save" button — the toolbar shows the last-saved time so you can confirm. If the connection drops mid-edit, Vertiqa retries and surfaces a banner if it gives up.
