The dispatch page is the dispatcher's command surface for today. It filters the full job list down to the jobs scheduled for the current day so the team can run from one screen.
What's on the page
A card list of today's jobs, each card showing:
- Priority badge (low, normal, high, urgent).
- Customer and contact info.
- Assigned technician.
- Scheduled time window and service location.
- Next action button — the action varies based on the job's current state (e.g. "Assign tech", "Mark on-site", "Mark complete").
What you can do here
- Create a new job for today.
- Assign or reassign a technician without leaving the dispatch view.
- Lock the schedule when the day's plan is final, so accidental drag-and-drop or status changes don't shuffle it.
- Drill into a job for full detail, history, and notes.
Tips
- Keep priority honest. If everything is urgent, the field team can't triage between them.
- Use the lock once the schedule is committed — it's the difference between "today's plan" and "today's plan as of 8 a.m. before three reschedules."
- For backlog and tomorrow's planning, work from the jobs list, not dispatch.
